Be among the first to experience one of the country's newest farm fitness trends! Love our goat yoga? You'll love goat Pilates, too—but they're two very different experiences. Goat Pilates emphasizes controlled movements that build core strength, improve posture, and increase overall stability. You'll leave feeling stronger while still enjoying all the laughter and joy our lovable goats bring to class. But, like goat yoga, don't be surprised if a goat decides you're the perfect place to perch during planks!

Whether you're looking to strengthen your body or simply spend time with adorable goats, goat Pilates offers a fun, low-impact mat workout that's perfect for beginners and experienced participants alike.

Each goat Pilates session includes a 20–30 minute class led by a certified mat Pilates instructor, followed by plenty of time to cuddle the goats, play, and snap photos. It may not be the most traditional Pilates class you've ever taken, but it just might be the most fun!

  • Location: Nittany Meadow Farm - 227 Nittany Meadow Farm Lane, Boalsburg. Follow the signs for parking around the barn. Plan to arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to beginning of class.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is goat Pilates?

Goat Pilates emphasizes controlled movements that build core strength, improve posture, and increase overall stability. You'll leave feeling stronger while still enjoying all the laughter and joy our goats bring to class. The best part? The goats don't know the difference! They'll wander through class and climb onto willing participants, and keep everyone smiling from start to finish.

How do I register for goat Pilates?

Visit the registration page and select the date that you'd like to participate. You must pre-register to attend a class.

Do I have to do Pilates?

No, some people prefer to sit on their towel or blanket and snuggle goats. We ask that anyone not participating in Pilates remain on their towel or blanket until the class is over.

Where does goat Pilates take place?

In warm weather, goat Pilates is held in a grassy area near the barn. There is plenty of room to spread out! If it's raining, we'll move class inside to the top of our barn. During the colder months, we'll be inside the top of the barn.

Will you cancel class if it's raining or cold?

No, we will not cancel. In bad weather, we'll move class inside of our historic barn. Built in 1843, has a large semi-heated space in the top where we can hold classes.

What should I wear to goat Pilates?

We suggest dressing comfortably and for the weather. You may get dirty, so we suggest wearing clothes that can get dirty. Also, consider leaving dangly earrings and long necklaces at home. Those with longer hair may want to pull it back into a ponytail or bun.

Do I need my own towel or blanket?

Yes, you will need to bring your own towel or blanket. We prefer not to use mats in case the goats decide to taste test them.

What should I bring to class?

A towel or blanket, and water if you would like. Please bring a bottle without a straw. The goats have been known to take sips from straws! Please do not bring food, coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco products, vaping devices, etc. to class. Goats are very curious and we don't want them to ingest something that would make them ill. Their safety is our priority.

Will the goats poop on my towel or blanket or on me?

Occasionally goats will poop on your towel or blanket. They have pooped on people. Fortunately they have small pellets that aren't too stinky and can be shaken off easily. We have a sink available inside the barn to wash your hands, and also hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes at the class location. Goats are farm animals and their bathroom habits cannot be trained like dogs or cats.

Do the goats bite?

Goats like to nibble. It's their way of trying to see if something is good to eat. It's possible they will try to nibble on hair, clothes, zippers, shoestrings, etc. Our goats do not intentionally bite.

Do the goats headbutt?

Sometimes the goats will play and headbutt each other, but not humans.

Do the goats have horns?

Some do. Most of the goats selected for goat Pilates are either polled (born without horns) or disbudded (horns removed shortly after birth). We do have some with horns, but they are very sweet and gentle to people.

Are children permitted in class?

No, our classes are for participants ages 18 and older.

Can I bring a friend/family member/pet to watch my class?
Only participants registered for class are permitted at the farm—please do not bring spectators, unregistered participants or pets to class.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are not issued if participants cancel or do not show up for their scheduled class. Refunds will be issued if we cancel class.

Will you transfer my reservation if I miss class?

Class registration is non-refundable and non-transferrable. We do not offer transfers to another class if a participant cancels or does not show up for their scheduled class. You may not transfer to another person.

Do you offer private goat yoga events?

Yes! A minimum of 25 participants is needed to hold a private class. Visit the group booking page for more information and dates.
